IRC's programs are being implemented at a wide range of educational institutions and community-based organizations in New York City as well as regionally in the US Northeast (e.g. New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island).

MULTICULTURAL PEACEMAKING Programs

IRC's innovative programs are currently being introduced at the graduate, undergraduate, secondary, intermediate and elementary levels.

Peace Quilt Workshops replicate IRC's Peace QuiltMaking Model.  Workshop participants design an original Peace Quilt which permanently remains to be exhibited at the sponsoring organization (e.g. agency, school,  university, museum).

Workshops are also being implemented for teachers and other professionals working with ethnically diverse populations.  Here's an example of a quilt designed and constructed by school teachers.

Multicultural Student Leadership Programs

Diversity Workshops build a foundation of respect for diversity, build multicultural team-building skills, and celebrate participants' multicultural journeys.

Conflict Prevention Workshops develop pro-active skills and strategies to "de-fuse" tensions before they develop into major confrontations.

IRCs Multicultural Student Leadership Programs have been introduced for students attending NYC public schools in demographically changing neighborhoods (e.g. Abraham Lincoln High School, Benjamin Cardoza High School, Fiorello LaGuardia High School, Fort Hamilton High School, James Monroe High School, Seward Park High School, IS 220, IS 22, JHS 189). They are also implemented regionally at colleges and universities in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island (e.g. City University of New York (17 campuses), Baruch College, College of Staten Island, LaGuardia Community College, University of Connecticut, Connecticut College, Wesleyan University, Yale University, Smith College, Williams College, University of Rhode Island).
